This series studied chapters 1 through 5 of Romans. The content shown is the final brand for the project, as well as additional phone wallpapers.
This series kicked off our adult ministry year in September of 2021. How Happiness Happens was about finding true happiness and joy through positive habits, behaviors and trust in Jesus.
During my creative process, I knew that I wanted to go in a direction where graphic imagery, icons and bright colors were essential to the brand. So I focused on creating a logo design that would work with a multi-colored palette and secondary icons that would be included in collateral materials.
The first three images are the finalized brand that was used throughout the series. The following images were 5x7 printed cards that were distributed during one of the weekends.
The last image is a photograph of a set of four, mailable invites cards with a perforated edge.
Christmas of 2020 was a strange year for all of us. With the pandemic in full swing and social distancing becoming the new norm, I was inspired by the postcard. I wanted to create a brand that focused on nostalgia and the idea of still being able to connect during a difficult time.
The images following the first design include the billboard that was displayed throughout the Twin Cities, as well as multiple social media posts.
Elevate Island was a game created for the elementary aged students that are part of our Kids Ministry. The theme of “Elevate,” (Eagle Brook’s elementary aged kids ministry,) is trusting in Jesus, team work and adventure.
From the prompts and the provided game play/rules, I created the branding for this game. A game that kids are still playing today.
This series focused on utilizing different positive habits for maintaining a positive relationship. The titles for each week were themed around popular fast food slogans/phrases. With that in mind, I wanted to create a brand that played on nostalgia and colors that are indicative of food. (Yellow for mustard and red for ketchup).
The second image was used on local billboards. The image below was used on social media.
For this Easter series, I wanted to try and portray color in a way that feels unearthly and almost supernatural. I created gradients to create a holographic affect with the sky and the text.
Something I learned through this series was how holographic coloring differs from printed materials and digital images.
The first image was my choice for the brand and the second was what was chosen by the leadership team.
The third image was a printed piece and the last square images were used for social media.
This series kicked off our adult ministry year 2020. Your Future Self Will Thank You was about making conscious decisions today that will positively affect your future.
Based on the title of this series, I knew I wanted to use the classic movie, Back to the Future as inspiration for the branding. Aside from finding a similar font to the movie branding, I spent a lot of time using Photoshop to manipulate the text to create the three dimension look.
The last two images were used on social media.
This series was created by our leadership team as a guide to living with a healthy soul. Experiences create “layers” in our lives/souls that make us who we are. I wanted to combined different textures that were both soft and rough to reflect the different circumstances that can shape who we are.
The three square images were shared on social media.
The last image is a photograph of the Bible Reading Plan that was distributed to our audience both physically, and digitally.
This series was a teaching on the book of Proverbs and pursuing wisdom on a daily basis. Based on the prompts I was given, I wanted the brand to give a distinctive feeling of life being a journey and process.
The images following the main series brand were printed verse cards that were distributed to the audience over 5 weeks.
